I am full swing of my new courses, training twice a week & work. Things are busy for sure!

What a week! (to say the least!) Emelia was in her first official, full week of classes of her second year. We had the iPhone 18 Pro, Series 12 and Ultra 4 launch at the store this weekend, Danielle was knee-deep in students at Kings with a very busy workload. And, if that wasn’t enough we were down and back a lot to Kitchener to help Testza and the girls sort through packing up for their move back to London. Danielle was down and back both days this weekend and I was able to help out today. By the time we got home tonight around 5pm, Danielle and I just needed to sit down and hardcore veg for a good thirty minutes. And that we did!
Emelia was busy with work yesterday and Cheer training today so she was not able to help. But, by all counts this year everything is already going so much better. They’re up to two practices a week and she has come home from every practice very happy with the progress and how the routine is going. We’re due for the first comp at the end of November but already this season it seems so many things are already in a better place. After them getting the Worlds/Florida experience last year, I am really gunning for a repeat birth again this year as both Danielle & I enjoyed it probably as much (if not more) than Emelia did. And, I am honestly excited to go back and do some more bike riding in Florida again in the early spring.
This weekend was our launch weekend at the store which is essentially our ‘Super Bowl’ as it is start to finish go-go-go all weekend long. We see crazy amounts of customers and there is lots of excitement around our new product which is great because it keeps us busy. The shifts fly by in the blink of an eye and it is great to work for a company that makes something that means so much to so many people. I worked the Friday close and the Saturday mid. By the time I was done yesterday I was exhausted, but in the best possible way. We’ll have another launch in October to go through this again, but for now, we’re over the main hurdle.
Last weekend and this weekend, we have been helping Testza get packed up for their move back to London. Danielle has taken on the lion’s share for our household going down last weekend on Sunday and again yesterday and today with me. We were able to get a lot of the big work done which I know Testza appreciates, but also selfishly it also gets us more time with our nieces and of course Testza too. Next weekend will look very much the same, but the thought right now is Sunday may not be necessary as we helped her make significant headway these past two weekends.
We will be excited to have them back in London soon enough. And also we will be excited given how busy this last week was to get into some weeks and weekends of a lot more relaxing and unwinding as it was a very busy week!

Life has certainly been busy for the last few weeks. A few months ago we got a text from our sister in law that she needed a lot of family support and needed help getting her house prepped for sale and that she and the girls were moving back to London. The family all came together and the last two months have been a whirlwind. It has meant a lot of trips back and forth to Kitchener and supporting Testza and the girls however we could. They have been through so much in the last few years and we hope now the worst is soon to be behind them. This weekend I was back and forth both days, Testza had ordered a large trailer to be delivered to the house, they leave it in your driveway and when it is full they store it until the next one can be delivered eventually to London. When Matthew, Shawn and I arrived in the later morning we were ready to start loading. After 6 hours of sweaty work the trailer was filled to the brim and we got a much as we could possibly get done on the first day. We made a plan for day two before heading home to London.
This morning John and I headed back down, the goal today with five adults to help was disassemble all the bed frames and get the beds, dressers and larger furniture downstairs to the main floor and garage so that we are ready for next weekend where the plan is to have the second storage container to arrive and fill the second one with all the furniture. It has been a long long long week and another long one next week. But the goal is that by the beginning of October to have the family back together and the girls settled in their new home, back at their old school close to family and friends.
