This week was pretty chill for me, well other than having two amazing nights out with my besties at Barney’s!

This week we were back to the regular routine after having last week at the trailer. I, had a six day stretch at work because of the vacation so it was mostly just that for me aside from the regular rides on the bike. We are knee deep in writing our annual reviews for the team as well as wrapping up the year’s results. I was able to get those all tidied up and submitted this week which is a huge load of work off my plate and barring any adjustments or edits I may be all done which is a great feeling and place to be. Next up will be delivering the reviews and capping off the year.
This week, after the next race/event on my calendar in there BIG Gravel Grind last weekend, it was another week of just getting rides in and prepping for the next one which will be the MS Bike: Grand Bend to London which goes at the end of the month on July 25th & 26th. I have been focused on fundraising for it and getting ready for the distance. This year has the two day distance total of 184 kilometres going from Grand Bend to London on day one and back from London to Grand Bend on day two. I will be riding again with Team Cowbell for my fourth straight year. And, if you want to sponsor me, you can do so by clicking here.
Lastly, this week we were hopeful to get up to the trailer Saturday after work with Emelia, but after her social calendar got changed and we decided that getting up there at 10:00pm or later after work Saturday wasn’t the greatest of quick get aways we decided to stay in London, which meant today I could get back out with my Club for the Sunday, social ride. It was out to St Thomas and back and with the remote start and me riding to and from it, I was able to make the route into a 100km ride—my first century ride of the year! The weather was perfect for it, and I was home time to spend the day relaxing and puttering about the house with Danielle. It was the perfect way to close out what was other a pretty routine week.

This week will be pretty short for me, my week has been pretty quiet. I was back into the routine at work. After being off for a week I was slammed catching up with the backlog of work from our time off. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad since King’s was closed for a few days leading into Canada Day. For me at work it is working through all then changing roles at work that flipped over on July 1st.
The rest of the week was just regular boring grown up stuff, I was able to get to the gym to see Emelia and her team train this week. They are still working leveled stunting as we are still a couple weeks away from her team from getting their new routine for the year. Things are still really up in the air until they have that routine.
Honestly that is really it for me, it has been a quiet week which is so rare for us that I was really just enjoying some quiet time, getting some things done around then house and the quiet of just reading after work and taking it easy. It was a blissful summer week and since those quiet weeks are so rare I just took it all in.
