After the big push last week and weekend to get Testza and the girls settled in London, there were lots of little settling-in things that we could help with this week. Danielle was over there a day this past week, yesterday while I was at work, and then we were both over there today with Matthew and Shawn. Danielle and Testza made serious headway yesterday and with bigger bodies today, we were able to finally get the very last shipping container emptied today. That doesn’t end the work that Testza needs to do to get settled, but being done with the shipping containers finally, is a huge relief.

""As we mentioned last week, we buttoned up the trailer finally to end the season. While that is always a bit sad for us, it does also free up our schedule in London in a nice way too. There was always this impending intent to get any chance we could to be up at the trailer and in a way this frees us from always looking for those opportunities in our week. To be honest, with the weather turning cooler and darker anyway, it gives us more time just to relax when we can without that stress of when we just want to stay home that we’re missing the value of trailer time. I am sure we will be longing for it come May, but for now it’s nesting season and I’m here for it.

""With the time here on weekends it meant today I could take in the Sunday Club social ride with London Cycling Club. The route started from Dorchester and took us out to Thorndale and then to Thamesford for a coffee stop at Timmie’s and then back to Dorchester for a 50km route with good company and after it warmed up, beautiful scenery. The start of the ride was chilly to say the least. As I left the house in the Jeep to drive to the start the temperatures were single digits and it wasn’t warming up all too fast either. By the time we pedalled off we were at 5ºC and it was chilly. It did eventually start to warm up with the sun, which made for a wonderfully picturesque fall day on the bike.

For Emelia, Cheer practices have started to step up as competition season is quickly approaching with Fall Classic going November 7th. At today’s practice they finally got their new updated uniforms which I am super excited about as they are a departure from the white, green and blue of previous seasons and are unique to just the World’s teams CheerStrike (ValiaNT and Virtue) which make them stand out. ValiaNT is already so much further along at this point this year compared to last year so we are very excited and optimistic about our chances to be off again to Florida next April. At any rate we’re excited for Emelia to have this thing she finds purpose and fulfillment in and keeps wanting to throw herself into—its no different than me and bikes.

This week was another really busy one which has has been our life the last few months… I am coming into my really busy time at work which has meant for really busy days but with Testza and the girls moving back to London has also brought a lot of busy nights. I was over a few times this week helping with the unpacking as well as with the girls. With a lot of work this past weekend we are happy to say that the last of the boxes and furniture are finally inside the house. There is a long road to get the house settled but the big items are in the house, the furniture is in place and now it is unpacking and organizing everything. Hopefully I can get over a fair bit in the next few weeks to help everyone get settled.

This past week was fall reading week for Emelia and it was a busy one. She picked up a few more shifts this week, spent time with Bri studying for her exams next week and spent lots of time with her friends. Emelia, Bri and Liv went out a few times this weekend to head to the bars, they went out and took some fall pics and started to anchor their plans for Hallowe’en. Needless to say she lived her best life.

""The other focus for Emelia was of course cheer. She and her team are in the thick of extra training. Emelia and her stunt group have been putting in extra reps so they can get ready for Fall Classic that is only a few weeks away. This team is so much further ahead vs last year, they have a fast paced and high level routine. They did their first modified full-out at practice today and they are ready to push themselves again at practice on Tuesday. Things are getting real very fast, the new cheer uniforms arrived today, Emelia’s team and the other World’s team got different uniforms vs the rest of the gym. The girls cannot wait to hit the floor to show off their new uniforms and routine!
