\"\"<\/a>I had homecoming this weekend. My friends & I had the best time!<\/h3>\n

This week was all about Homecoming for Emelia. It is the event that all university students look forward to in the year before school work gets more busy with papers, projects and exams. Emelia had plans all through the week, with the biggest of them centred on the weekend. With our house being so close to campus we ended up being one of the touch points for Emelia and her friends and honestly Danielle & I love it as we get to relive some of our homecoming moments vicariously through them, but also it allows to ensure she and her friends are safe and having fun. This year was a rousing success.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We have been using a lot of our extra moments helping out with Testza and the girls and their move back to London. We’re over the moon to have them back in London and look forward to when they’re settled and can just enjoy their new home as opposed to spending every waking moment getting things packed, paperwork done and sorting out all that needs to. It not like they have the greatest last few years which is why we’re jumping to help how and when ever we can in order to hopefully make things easier for them.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Yesterday, Testza was back in London for a celebration of life for a coworker and good friend so Danielle watched the girls for her. It meant that they came to the mall to visit me on my lunch break and we all got to hang out for a bit before I was back to work and eventually Danielle got the girls back to Testza. The next couple of weeks will be a whirlwind for them, but soon enough it will be all over and they can get back to what matters most and being back close to family and support. And hopefully put the last year behind them!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For us, on our mind sadly is planning to pack up the trailer and get it ready to be closed up and another camping season done. While it’s not a moment we relish, we’re happy that we got more time up there this season over last year, and had three full weeks there this year to boot. And soon enough we will be right back up there opening it up and starting another camp season. The challenge is that we’re likely going to be done to the wire trying get it done as the next few weekends are already booked up. We’ll likely have to make it a project in the moments that exist that we have left over. Cross your fingers for us!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>She said<\/h1>\n

We can tell the fall is almost is upon us. First we have homecoming weekend for Emelia and all the students at Western. Western is known for academics and really hard to get into but the students who study hard also party hard. Western homecoming and the parties around it are legendary\u2014students from surrounding universities come for this weekend. Emelia and her besties have been planning and excited for the weekend for weeks. The day started early. The girls were starting early and went to the football game, then on to darties (day parties) and eventually a ton of their friends ended up here to drink before heading to a house party. It was a 12 hour party for Emelia and her girls, by 10:00 Emelia was done she called and asked if I could pick her up from the party. She was ready to sleep and be in her own bed. She crashed and slept for 12 hours!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The rest of the weekend for us was continuing to support Testza and the girls. There has been so many hiccups to the move back to London. The hope today was supposed to be John and I down in Kitchener again to pack another container to prep for next week’s move. There was an issue with the delivery so it is not arriving until tomorrow. This shifted the plan, I will head down again tomorrow after work tomorrow so Testza and I can load all the bigger furniture into the container. This will allow her to be almost ready to go and Thursday they travel down to London, stay with our family for the night and take possession and start their life again back in London and we can have the family back together.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The next few weeks will be busy, John and I will likely have to head to the trailer next weekend so we can pack things up and say good-bye for another season. This year we were able to get up to the trailer for a few longer stretches and a lot of partial weekends, it never seems enough. We hope that life will be quieter next year so we can take more advantage of the trailer even more next summer, We hope we can have move trips there with family and the little girls.
